If like me you have an X-Wave DVD player (mine is the model 1100) and it refuses to come on, then read on.
Following advice from Andy at http://www.lightningimports.co.uk/ he suggested that the fuse in the power supply had probably gone. It is fitted with a 20mm 1A quick blow. However this is prone to blow, so I replaced it with a 1.6A T (slow blow) fuse on his advice.
This did the trick. You can probably safely ignore the security label or whatever on the player, it is probably meaningless if the company you bought the player from has gone under or refuses to acknowledge their responsibilitites.
I am putting this information up as I found it difficult to find any references on the web, so this may be the one and only. Good luck. I am not really in a position to help you with any more complex problems, the web site above is provided by a company who will service and repair these players (Andy).
